Good evening. I have purchased Signalsoft Bonn Hbf. In the order page I can read the code activation, but the sim starts as it was already activated. Is it normal?

I have train 65212 from Duisdorf on Gl.207 with the loco loc65212 running round. To get from track w63 back to track 207 needs a route setting from Sperrsig W67 but I cannot find a way of setting this route using the number pad, I have to set the route using the panel buttons. Is there a way to set a route W67 to 207 using the number pad?

1/ Is it normal when using UGFT, in BONN (Ver3.2.0.8) to have to manually set point along that route, even when the tracks have lit, certain points do not. for example 203 >> 404 via alt. i set that route as i was writing this and had to manually set these points,,, 202,424,213,215. .......... this point now resolved,, ty

2/ I have an issue within version 3.2.08. that trains from Duisdorf terminating at Platform 5 (the normal traffic only, not the extra ones) originally had turn-around and renumber orders, now gone onto the next day and they DO NOT have orders anymore, also the shunt trains did not have any orders after the first day. ........

3/ I cannot find the OLE/catenary controls, i have selected to operate the OLE (OHLE in some countries) manually, but all i can find is the catenary overview. i could not find any info about this in either the manual or wiki. ........

I granted an overhead line earthing to the engineers between Roisdorf and Bonn Hbf but after nearly an hour they still haven't called to re-energise the OHLE. In Settings I have Engineering Works set to almost minimum so these isolations normally last only a few minutes. I have never had one last for an hour. Has anyone else had this happen at Bonn Hbf?

Hello! I've "dispatched" on this signal box for a time now, using the Train Overview. I want to do this as realistic as possible. Therefore I have printed out the whole Timetable Visualiser, and I have plans to print out the whole time table.

Unfortunately, my experience with going away from the Train Overview, over to the timetable, have been a little bit confusing. I do know how the timetable and the timetable visualiser works.

I printed out 8 of 123 pages of the time table, from 23:02 to 00:56

If we follow the timetable, it's supposed to arrive 45 trains. So far I have seen 4 or 5 trains, all coming from Roisdorf.

So, something have to be wrong here, I just don't know what. All the 45 trains are supposed to run on tuesdays and wednesdays.

My question then is; do they run on a track I don't dispatch? If that's the case, how do I see that they are actually going on the other track?

I really hope someone can answer my question. I must say that it's a little bit annoying and confusing. I have no idea which trains are showing up or not. All the 45 trains that should have arrived at the station, are listed in the time table and the time table visualiser.

I appreciate all the help I can get!

Thank you,

So then to restart suddenly the sim is flooded with these freight trains competing for space. I am running version 3.0.0.25 (just updated this morning) but the sim was saved under a previous version.
Hi Everyone,

I am curious as to know what technique people use for this sim as far as the level crossings go when three or more trains are sent in quick succession from the neighboring area. The way I see it there are the following:-

Manually manipulate the crossings (cancel signals and open crossings to road users in order to avoid alarm state)

Ring neighbour and tell them to call before each train is dispatched enabling the chance to refuse them. (just means there will be a greater back log coming down the line)

Allow crossings to go into alarm state and issue orders for each crossing (creates a lot of work as orders have to be issued for both directions)

Other?

Would be intersted to know how others do it, or even how it is done in the real world.

Thanks,

Hi All,

I have a few flashing signals but not sure what to do about it. I found some German pages on the Wiki which may have described them but the translator didn't make much sense of it.

Thanks as always.

Train 545 approaching Bonn from Godesburg at 0700hrs, and having previously been given an order to pass Signal 22 at Danger which is red for no apparent reason, now stands at the next signal 102 which is also red for no reason. It called in to say it was standing to which I gave the only answer possible, "Wait until it shows proceed". I then called the radio operator, was put through to train 545 and gave it a written order to pass signal 102, which the driver accepted. But over 10 minutes and 2 written orders later, train 545 still hasn't moved and train 3508 is now waiting behind it.

Could it be refusing to move because of my earlier instruction to wait until it clears (which should surely be overruled by my subsequent instruction to pass it at Danger, and has this refusal to pass a signal at Danger been experienced by anyone else?

Regards,

As i said in a personal email to Richard i ask him if possible to control an solve in next updates the problem on graphic timetable in Bonn signal box simulation because trains coming from North Germany direct to south have a half line only until Bonn while train coming from south direct to north have a complete line representation throught bonn hbf . As i'm in my real life a train dispatcher and normally i work with train graphic timetable this is an important feature for me !!

Howdy All,

Just how do you open a level crossing after it has been closed?

I have train 2335 broken down before signal 951.

I cancelled 951 and locked it.

I pushed the BUHFT button and the Level Crossing button but no joy.

I also pushed the ASpT button to cancel automatic closing and then tried the BUHFT again but still no joy.

Help desperately needed and appreciated..

As some of you might have noticed: it's hard to set a normal route towards track 250 (Bonn-Duisdorf).

That's normal and intended to be that way. This because Track 250 and 251 do NOT have Overhead Line Equipment (Catenary). To enforce an action by the dispatcher to confirm the route from tracks with Overhead Line Equipment to tracks WITHOUT OLE, the operator needs to press FfrT the similar way you would use the UFGT or FHT or FRT. Pressing FfrT first and then start and end button acknowledges that you realise that it must be a diesel train going there!

You can find the FfrT on the group button panel.

If you're a user of the Number Entry Panel, you can find a FfrT button too. you press the FfrT before you press the ATK and ZT or RT buttons.

If you do it via the keyboard you can press:

203250, then cursor UP (=FfrT), then cursor RIGHT (=direction ZT1) then Enter.

In any case if a route is NOT set, you will get a little help message in the status bar at the bottom of the main window. It shows you the most significant reason why the route was not possible.
